Detoxification
Why Detox?
There are many reasons to consider a detox program. After all, no matter how hard we try to avoid them, there is an almost endless stream of toxic assaults on the body:
- Airborne pollution
- Chemicals in the water
- Pesticides, herbicides, preservatives, artificial flavours and colours in food and drinks
- Chemicals on the clothes we purchase
- Toxins in the personal care products we use
- Fire retardants in car1pets and curtains
- Chemicals in cleaning products
So What?
As Prof. Keith Scott-Mumby writes:
“Millions of man-made chemicals have been described in scientific literature since the late 19th century. Production continues apace: something like 6,000 new chemicals are added to the list every week and at least 70,000 are currently in production. Only a fraction of this toxic load has been adequately tested for the long-term effects on human health.
We meet chemicals in the air, our food, water supplies and by direct contact. Medical drugs add their share, and even the clothes we wear and the fabric of our homes are mostly artificially made, needing many complex chemical precursors which linger on the final product. Some of these fabrics emit toxins long after being installed in the home. It is a fact of life in the modern world that indoor pollution can be just as bad, or worse, than the outdoor kind.
The cumulative effect of all these substances may create a total body burden that triggers chemical sensitivity in certain individuals. In my 1986 book ALLERGIES; WHAT EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW I introduced the term ’human canaries’ to describe such people – they are a warning to us all that we are going to be ill if we continue as we are, in much the same manner that canaries used to warn miners of impending gas danger. Unfortunately, no one seems to be heeding these canaries.
Most studies done on humans to date have been concerned predominantly with acute massive exposures suffered by workers in industrial settings, such as the Bhopal disaster in 1984. But clinical ecologists gathering 10,000s of case studies showing that chronic exposure to levels commonly thought to be ’safe’ are compromising people’s health and may turn out to be a more important hazard in the long term.
To get rid of a toxin effectively it is most important that the body turns it into something soluble in water. At that point the substance or its metabolites (breakdown products) can be removed via the kidneys, sweat, bile and other fluids. There are two principal routes by which the body does this. In Phase I metabolism the molecule is altered to become water soluble by enzymes in a variety of ways, each stage of which is assisted by a specific enzyme. These enzymes are found in the microsomes of most cells.
It is important to note that magnesium is essential for Phase I actions, as is a complex co-enzyme called nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH), a derivative of vitamin B3. That’s one of the reasons why magnesium and B vitamins are such important supplements for us.
Vitamin C and zinc are also said to help, and possibly other nutrients as well. This is why vitamin and mineral supplements can be so vital for allergics and poor metabolizers.”

(So I have those helpful nutrients, B1, B3, Zinc and Magnesium in my detox blends.)
And if that were not enough reason to consider a detox, according to The Cancer Healing Center and others, “Exposure to environmental toxins has been linked to an increased risk of cancer and other chronic diseases.” https://cancercenterforhealing.com/environmental-toxins-and-cancer-risks/
Detox Problems and solutions
I watched some very interesting podcasts in 2024 that explained various conditions that can slow or prevent a thorough removal of toxins from the body.
Problem:
Detoxing places increased stress on the body, which in many cases is already in a reduced operational capacity by virtue of under nourishment and the harmful effects of the toxins. This can result in making it seem too hard to detox.
Solution:
Prior to commencing a detox, increase the nutrient intake of the body so as to increase tolerance to the workload detoxification places on organ function.
Problem:
If you do not have enough material going through your digestive system to catch and excrete the toxins expelled by your liver and kidneys, those toxins will be reabsorbed by your gut to do more harm.
Solution:
Prior to and while detoxing, consume agents that will bind to toxins in the gut to prevent their reabsorption.
Problem:
The Covid Spike Protein (whether acquired by infection, injection or transfection - see https://www.healthelicious.com.au/NutriBlast-Anti-Spike.html) harms 40 different systems in the human body. https://greatgameindia.com/israel-report-pfizer-vaccine-side-effects/ and https://www.americasfrontlinedoctors.com/wp-content/uploads/The-Israeli-People-Committee-Interim-Conclusion-Report-April-2021.pdf
I do not know if it has yet been studied as to how this affects detoxification processes but given the above, I would be surprised if kideny and liver functions were not compromised by the Spike Protein.
Solution:
Help the body to stop making Spike Protein and boost the ability of the body to remove it.
For data on the Spike Protein and why I consider it a vital step in detoxification, I have data on it at https://www.healthelicious.com.au/NutriBlast-Anti-Spike.html
Problem:
If the elimination pathways of the kidney are blocked or the kidney function is impaired (through kidney stones for instance), extra workload is only going to increase problems, not reduce them. If the kidney could speak you can just imagine the conversation. “What! You are giving me MORE toxins to process when I am ALREADY overloaded? I’m too busy to handle this. Go back to where you came from!“
Solution:
Improve the kidney function and unclog elimination pathways.
Problem:
The liver processes many fat soluble toxins and sends some of them via the blood to the kideny to second stage process and others it send to the gall bladder to be released with bile when we eat foods containing fats. If the gall bladder has stones or the liver elimination pathways are choked or the liver function is otherwise compromised then some toxins may not be processed or eliminated.
Because the liver controls the levels of hormones in the body and hormones govern our weight, if the liver is not functioning at optimal capacity that lack of proper functioniung could be contributing to overweight or obesity.
Solution:
Nourish the liver to boost its production capacity and clear its elimination pathways.
Problem:
Some heavy metals are notoriously hard to chelate (claw onto) and excrete from the body. Different toxins require different nutrients to help expel them.
Solution:
Provide the body with a wide range of nutrients (45 in total) to do the heavy lifting associated with heavy metal detoxification. https://www.healthelicious.com.au/NutriBlast_Heavy_Metal_Blend.html
Problem:
Removing toxins from within the cells and the space between the cells and sending those toxins to overloaded and functionaly impaired organs that cannot process them will just result in their being recirculated through the blood supply to be later reabsorbed.
Solution:
Undertake the required steps to set the detoxifying organs up to do the required job when increasiong their workload with a full cellular dexification regime.
Problem:
Many in Western medical circles believe that parasites are a third world problem but according to doctors who treat them, they say everyone has parasites.
Many parasites are not tested for or are not found with the tests done.
Clearing parasites poses an increased toxic load on a body.
Parasites lay many eggs a day. While alive, the mother releases a hormone that prevents the offspring from hatching so as not to compete for the available food. When the mother dies, the hormone is no longer released, the eggs hatch commencing a new cyle.
Solution:
Once the elimination pathways are cleared and your body is is better shape to handle the extra toxins released when clearing parasites, cycle through clearing them and their subsequently hatched eggs.
I tender this Detox Solution Protocol as a resolution to the above problems:
The Detox Solution Protocol
- Step 1 Boost Nutrition
- Step 2 Bind Toxins in the Digestive System
- Step 3 Handle Spike Protein
- Step 4 Provide Kidney Support
- Step 5 Provide Liver Support
- Step 6 Chelate Heavy Metals

Step 4 Provide Kidney Support
Why detox specifically the liver and kidneys?
Each organ does a specific job not done by the other.
Which toxins are removed from the human body by the kidneys and which by the liver?
Answer
The kidneys and liver work together to remove various toxins from the human body, each playing a distinct role in the detoxification process:
Kidney Detoxification
The kidneys primarily remove water-soluble toxins and waste products from the blood:
Metabolic waste products: Urea, creatinine, and other byproducts of metabolism.
Excess water-soluble vitamins: B vitamins and Vitamin C.
Toxicants that have undergone phase II liver detoxification.
Chemical compounds: More hydrophilic (water-loving) compounds are easier for the kidneys to eliminate1.
Some medications and their metabolites.
Step 5 Provide Liver Support
Liver DetoxificationThe liver handles a broader range of toxins, including both water-soluble and fat-soluble compounds:
Alcohol: The liver is primarily responsible for metabolizing alcohol. Drugs and medications: The liver breaks down and clears most medications from the body.Environmental toxins: Pesticides and other environmental chemicals are processed by the liver.
Hormones: The liver regulates hormone levels in the body.
Dietary toxins: The liver processes toxins from food and drink.
It’s important to note that both organs work in conjunction to detoxify the body. The liver often performs initial processing of toxins, making them more water-soluble so that the kidneys can then excrete them in urine. This collaborative process ensures efficient removal of a wide range of toxins from the body.
While there are many products marketed as “liver cleanses“ or “detox diets,“ it’s crucial to understand that a healthy liver and kidneys naturally perform these functions without the need for special products or interventions. Maintaining overall health through a balanced diet, regular exercise, and avoiding excessive alcohol consumption are more effective ways to support your body’s natural detoxification processes.
Step 6 Chelate Heavy Metals
Regarding heavy metals I have compiled some data at https://www.healthelicious.com.au/NutriBlast_Heavy_Metal_Blend.html
